Iâve been going to this location for well over 20 years. They had gone thru some management changes and it seemed as though the friendliness customer care of the staff suffered, so I was going to other places for my auto services. I thought my brakes were going out, and since I had previously had Car-X install lifetime pads, I took it back there. There were some staff that I wasnât familiar with, but I was pleasantly surprised how cordial they were. I was prepared to spend some money for new brakes, but when they called me with the status of my car, I was told that the brakes were just fine but simply had a little rust/dust buildup on the rotors due to what appeared to be a lack of driving. That was great news and I appreciate the honesty when they could have just told me I needed the brake job done. So thanks for everything.
I recently visited this place to get my car's oil changed. During the visit, I received two different estimates that included the oil change cost and repairs. I appreciate the transparency and clarity about the issues with my car. It has helped me in making an informed decision about the repairs. I am planning to bring my car back to get the rest done. Went in to this Car-x for an oil change and to get a price check on an engine and cabin filters. They were able to get me in immediately and provided the price check on the other parts which were competitive to other prices checked with competitors. Gentleman at the counter was very professional and helpful. Glad for the positive experience at this location.
I live on the near north side of downtown Indy and will continue to take the half hour drive south to get the professionalism, service, promptness, and courtesy I've always found at Car-X at 8012 US 31 South. Honestly, I've been to other Car-X's since I live central to 465 but they all fall short to me when compared to the US 31 South garage. Plus, with the money saving coupons they mail and email, they've made a loyal customer out of me!
These guys are fast and efficient. They work hard to clear the lot every night. If they canât fix it they will tell you where to go. I have sent my kids here with their cars and they have always been happy. I can send myâ¦naive wife there without fear of her being taken advantage of. (Get your mind out of the gutter).
One of the hangers holding up my muffler broke loose and Car-X welded it back on and did a very professional job. Afterward they told me- no charge! They just got a loyal customer, I won't go anywhere else!
They used to be a lot better when Jason was the manager, but we still take one of our cars there. The Stop 11 and 31 shop was definitely a more pleasant experience than the 135 shop. 🤣 So Iâll drive the extra way to the better shop.
I have never once thought of going Anywhere for service, professional and very accurate with repairs estimates.
They were very timely and did a great job on my oil change.
I never make an appointment but they get me right in. This last visit was the fastest one yet. Always pleasant to deal with.
Been bringing my vehicle here for a long time I 15 years. They don't try to sell you extra stuff you don't need They usually get things done in a Timely manner. In the best part is you can actually see what the mechanics doing to your vehicle.
Highly recommend! I needed tires the week before Christmas. They were very friendly and I never felt I was being taken advantage of. My tires were even cheaper than what they quoted me over the phone.
This Car-X location is my go-to for routine vehicle maintenance and repair work like brakes and suspension. I've been going there for over 15 years, and they've never done me wrong. Staff are courteous and respectful. Most recently, they replaced brakes pads and rotors on my 2014 Honda Accord.
This is a great place for all of your car needs, the management and staff are always helpful. This is the 1st place you should go to for any routine maintenance, tires and breaks. I will never go anywhere else!

The tires I ordered arrived when promised and the installation was quick and tidy. There was a computer glitch that made checkout slow but I assume it was a fluke.
I was having car troubles while traveling through Indiana back to Tennessee, and was able to get my car looked at and fixed by Norman in about an hour for a very affordable price. Both he and the man at the register were very kind and helpful. If Iâm ever stuck there again, I know where to go.

I've always had a good experience at the Car Xs around greenwood (31&135). I had to pretty much get my entire cooling system replaced at this one. They fixed me all up and were reasonable with the price. I can see why some people complain about the attitude of the guy there but I honestly just think it's a personality thing. Not everyone is warm and fuzzy, which is just fine. If you're nice and respectful you'll get the same in return. I will definitely come back if I need other maintenance done.
Definitely appreciate the hard working honesty these guys presented as well as the great prices on labor, parts and overall service. Definitely will come back again.Came in needing an oil change and turn light bulb replaced, came out with a needed air filter change and wiper fluid filled.Just a warning they are understaffed so expect some longer wait times on service

I had new tires brakes and needed a few other things fixed. Customer service was excellent couldn't ask a bunch of nicer guys. Only took them five hours I think that's pretty darn good for a walk in on a Saturday I'd recommend the place

This place is by far, the best car mechanic shop in Indianapolis! Words cannot express this teams professionalism, attention to detail, work ethic, and most importantly their customer service! Jason and Don are two people would strive to get to know their customers by name and help provide advice when needed. They are not a place that looks to "dupe" customers on unnecessary repairs and they also are not afraid to admit fault, when problems happen. They are truly honest, good men (the entire group), and even though I live over 30-minutes away and pass many other shops, I will always bring my vehicles to them for as long as they are in business.
