Roger Hill; President & CEO
Mr.
Hill was recently named President & CEO of Car-X Associates
Corp. Bringing many years of franchise and retail experience to
the management team, Mr. Hill joined the Franchisor in March 1991 as a
District Manager and served in that capacity until September 1993 when
he became Vice President, Director of Operations. From April 1985
to March 1991, Mr. Hill was Regional Manager of Operations for Action
Auto Stores, Inc., a company that has a line of business similar to
that of the Company. From May 1982 to April 1985, Mr. Hill was a
Service Manager for K-Mart Corp.
Mr. Hill enjoys spending time with his wife and twins at home in Michigan.
Robert Bresler; Vice President of Franchise Development
Mr.
Bresler has been Vice President of Franchise Development since December
4, 1996. From July, 1992 to December, 1996, Mr. Bresler was
Director of Franchise Development. Mr. Bresler started with the company in 1988
as the Director of Real Estate.
Mr. Bresler enjoys going to concerts with his teenage daughter Jordan, as well as tending to his garden in Ohio.
Richard Brayer; Vice President, Marketing
Mr. Brayer joined Car-X with extensive franchise marketing experience. Prior
to joining Car-X, Mr. Brayer was Vice President of Advertising and
Marketing for True Value Hardware and Touch Tunes Digital Music. For
several years, Mr. Brayer held the post of Director of Field Marketing
for the automotive service provider, Midas International Corporation. Earlier in his career, Mr. Brayer held key positions at Leo Burnett and Zechman & Associate advertising agencies. Mr. Brayer received his M.B.A. from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Currently a member of several philanthropic organizations, Mr. Brayer is also a member of the Marketing Faculty at Columbia College in Chicago.
Mr. Brayer lives in Park Ridge, IL with his wife Lori and their two children, and their dog Wrigley.
Jim Christian; Director of Company Store Operations Mr.
Christian started at Car-X in 2001 and his responsibilities include
overseeing the operations of the (15) Car-X Company owned and operated
auto service centers. Before joining Car-X, Mr. Christian worked in
various capacities including Regional Merchandise Manager of Wards Auto
Express for 24 years, and Penske Auto Service Centers as District Manager.
Bringing vast knowledge and experience, Mr. Christian started in
the automotive industry in 1979 at Montgomery Wards as an ASE Certified
technician. When not hard at work, Mr. Christian enjoys family, fishing,
ATV’s, Little League baseball, and is an avid lifelong fan of the
Chicago Bears. Mr. Christian lives in Wisconsin with his wife Nancy of 17 years and their 2 children – daughter Stephanie and son Jay.
Kim Bauer; Director of Franchise Development
Mr.
Bauer has been committed to the Car-X family for over 25 years.
Currently, and since 1995, Mr. Bauer's position is Director of
Franchise Development. Over the years, Mr. Bauer has filled many
positions relating to franchise development, including Director of Real
Estate & Construction (1993-1995) Director of Franchise Services
(1989-1993) and from 1980 to 1989 he held positions in various
disciplines across the company, including Field Operations,
Construction, Training, Purchasing and Vendor Liaison. Mr. Bauer
graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1971.
Mr. Bauer enjoys boating with his wife Terri, riding motorcycles, and loves dogs.
Tom Vertovec; Director of Franchise Operations and Training
Mr.
Vertovec started with Car-X on May 31 2005, and brings a vast amount of
franchise experience to the Car-X brand. Prior to joining Car-X, Mr.
Vertovec was the Director of Franchise Operations at Merlin’s from
September, 2002 through May, 2005. Before that, Mr.
Vertovec worked with one of the leading QSR businesses, Domino’s Pizza,
as a Lead Franchise Consultant from May, 1988 through June, 2002. Prior
to that, Mr. Vertovec owned a White Hen Pantry as well as being a field
representative. Mr. Vertovec graduated with a bachelor's degree
from Marquette University in 1981.
Mr. Vertovec currently lives in Illinois with his wife and 3 children.
